For its first five years, Theatre Quorum performed at the Mesquite Arts Center Black Box Theatre. For three years Theatre Quorum was a roaming theatre performing in the Bath House and WaterTower Studio spaces. In 2006 TQ renewed its mission statement to include a commitment to projects that explore human rights issues, and added producing partners Lauren Embrey and Lisa Cotie to the mix. Today TQ is focusing on film production as well as theater productions in the DFW community, including an upcoming film to be produced based on Angela Wilson's play HEART.
Our mission is to produce plays of literary merit that portray the emotional struggles of everyday people in everyday life. Man's search for dignity and self-worth is the central theme we seek to explore at Theatre Quorum. Through comedy and drama, new plays and old, through ghost stories and love stories, Theatre Quorum is committed to generating a theatrical experience that connects its audience to the playwright's words via the emotional veracity of the actor.
