The Mesquite Arts Center supports multiple arts disciplines including music, drama, dance, visual arts and literary programming. The Arts Center also features the Main & Chamber Galleries, Jeann & Ralph Wisenbaker Courtyard and the Rehearsal Hall.
The Festival of Independent Theatres was created as an outlet for smaller companies without a permanent performance space to give them an opportunity to produce seldom seen, new, or avant-garde works. FIT exists to promote awareness and growth of Dallas area theatre through collaboration, participation and cultivation.
The McKinney Avenue Contemporary is a non-profit contemporary visual and performing arts space. The MAC offers opportunities for experimentation and for the presentation of new art in all disciplines, and provides a forum for critical dialog between emerging and established artists and their audiences.
The Undermain Theatre is an ensemble of artists that performs new and experimental works in Dallas, New York, and Europe, and sustains a theater under Main Street in Dallas’ legendary Deep Ellum.
The mission of the Dallas Theatre League is to encourage and facilitate cooperation among theatres and theatre artists to promote their common interests and better business methods; to celebrate the diversity of the Dallas theatre community and its audiences through all of its activities; to encourage public attendance at live theatre performances; to promote an appreciation of, interest in, and understanding of the theatre art and artists; and to advocate the theatre industry’s cultural and economic importance to the media, government agencies, foundations, corporations, and general public of the city of Dallas.
